The Nature of Being:

The Nature of Being:

“Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.”

The human constitution may be considered as an evolution proceeding from nothing to consciousness, this relates to the four worlds of the qabalah and can be understood as the union of male and female giving birth to being, a being develops consciousness and lastly by becoming self-aware the intellect is developed. Via our experiences we develop our own unique characteristics thus material existence, the world into which we are born, is where the first realization occurs and indeed, it is only per incarnation that we are aware and so the material world must also be divine, or at least it is in context of human experience. It is within the world of the elements where spirit is liberated, as it is here that the gift of experience is inherited by that within each of us that is eternal.

It is also the nature of the spirit that give’s man the ability to attain the rapturous joy associated with union between an individual and the gods. It is impossible to appreciate anything unless it is accompanied by experience, thus the function of the noetic faculty comes into the picture. The connection between spirit and matter is what fills us with aspiration which leads us towards and along the path of return. This connection between spirit and matter is experienced by people to a lesser or greater degree, but only some are drawn to the work by being imbued with a strong enough aspiration. This is more than likely due to karma and the capacity of the astral body, which is determined by its nature and maturity.

The astral body is associated with the unconscious and its language is spoken and understood in symbols, therefore all the archetypes are found there and also the religious symbolism throughout history speaks to this part of the soul. The astral body which is associated to Yesod establishes a link between consciousness and spirit, the relationship between the two is perceived intellectually by the Ruach. The astral body is therefore that which receives influence of a divine nature from the gods and these are then communicated to the intellect.

The idea is then to bring these three aspects of being into accord, so that, that which is divine may be manifested into material existence. The male and female qualities spoken of, that manifests into existence, or the spermatozoon and the ovum that unites to give birth to creation are associated with the Supernal Triad on the Tree of Life, or the Logos and the Cup of Babalon. This creation is the manifestation of the Demiurge which gives form to opposites, that forms what leads to the Demiurgic Art, which in other words is known as the Great Work. As it is within this world of opposites that we are brought to awareness in the material world, and it is only through self awareness, that an individual may create a masterpiece, which is in harmony with the laws that govern the known universe and congruent with the Word, thus making it an unique interpretation of the Logos.

III,11: This shall be your only proof. I forbid argument. Conquer! That is enough. I will make easy to you the abstruction from the ill-ordered house in the Victorious City. Thou shalt thyself convey it with worship, o prophet, though thou likest it not. Thou shalt have danger & trouble. Ra-Hoor-Khu is with thee. Worship me with fire & blood; worship me with swords & with spears. Let the woman be girt with a sword before me: let blood flow to my name. Trample down the Heathen; be upon them, o warrior, I will give you of their flesh to eat!

We are not just expected to sit in the shade and to find comfort in beggary and complaining, but charged with the task of interpreting the Word and to create in accordance with, for each our own talents. Therefore, Ra-Hoor-Khuit is a martial god representing the Demiurgic Art. And for those who are willing to give all, success is their proof; and a life lived in "splendour &.pride" is ensured.

I,61: But to love me is better than all things: if under the night-stars in the desert thou presently burnest mine incense before me, invoking me with a pure heart, and the Serpent flame therein, thou shalt come a little to lie in my bosom. For one kiss wilt thou then be willing to give all; but whoso gives one particle of dust shall lose all in that hour. Ye shall gather goods and store of women and spices; ye shall wear rich jewels; ye shall exceed the nations of the Earth in splendour & pride; but always in the love of me, and so shall ye come to my joy. I charge you earnestly to come before me in a single robe, and covered with a rich headdress. I love you! I yearn to you! Pale or purple, veiled or voluptuous, I who am all pleasure and purple, and drunkenness of the innermost sense, desire you. Put on the wings, and arouse the coiled splendour within you: come unto me!

III,17: Fear not at all; fear neither men nor Fates, nor gods, nor anything. Money fear not, nor laughter of the folk folly, nor any other power in heaven or upon the earth or under the earth. Nu is your refuge as Hadit your light; and I am the strength, force, vigour, of your arms.

“Love is the law, love under will.”
